Modus Ingenium specializes in rating/grading artistic talent. We do this on two scales, each one from 1 to 20 points. The first being the Creative Merit (a), and the second - the Technical Merit (b), both of which are vitally important to accurately represent the current skill level of each talent. So the numbers you see, for example, 9/5 are the Creative score/Technical score.

The assigned grade is based on the talent’s complete portfolio submittal (20 images/videos total), and not on a single portion of it.

Note - 0/0 grade means that the talent has not yet been graded.

Note - 3/3 grade in most cases is considered the minimum requirement for an entry level/junior position in his/her field.

There is no comparison between disciplines when it comes to the score, so you can not compare a score from one discipline to another.

Also in some disciplines, such as ARTIST, there are sub-disciplines, catering to games, film, and others, which means that the score is even more focused on a specific skill set.

The grading steps are not linear, for instance, a jump from 14 to 17 represents a bigger jump in skill level than from 4 to 7.

What does the score represent?

1/1 - You can turn on your computer and start the software

10/10 - You are accomplished, prolific, and quite proficient in your field.

19/19 - You are at the top of your field, and for example, if you were a concept artist, you would be on the same level as Syd Mead, Ralph McQuarrie or Ryan Church.
